The WORKS ON PAPER project is a large bound book that hosts several flat, 2D works from some of Montréal's most exciting emerging artists working in a wide variety of practices and media, united by their choice of surface material. The works, which will be rotated every six months, will be exhibited on the walls of the gallery for four days, after which they will be collected into a large book that will be made available for viewing year-round by appointment, and at all RedBird Gallery events. This book is designed not only to highlight and promote new work, but also to present a collection of fine art that is affordably priced and accessible to the general public.

the montreal underground film festival is coming up starting on thursday. It's May 14-16 at various venues.
there are works by Matthew Rankin + Mike Maryniuk, Amber Dawn, Karina Mariano, Jung-Chul Hur, Sunrise Pacapo, Luis Ortiz, Marina Roy, Claudie Levesque, Chloe Leriche, Stephanie Loveless and many many more... I'll have some works showing on opening night, the dear diary program, dance this mess around, and Cake Docs and Blue Angels.
